About Craft house Chocolate

Craft House Chocolate was founded in 2017 by pastry chef, Nettie Oakley-Prior. her partner Tammy joined the business in 2019.

​

Nettie discovered the wonders of chocolate while training as a pastry chef in Dorset. Having tasted and worked with most of the chocolate brands that was available in the industry, she decided that it was time to explore the possibility of making her own chocolate from the bean.

​

In January 2018, Nettie started sourcing cacao beans from around the world. From these she makes her award winning chocolate bars - winning her first award in 2019.

 

Also in 2019 they opened 'Craft House Chocolate' in Somerton, Somerset. A small cacao house which incorporates a workshop/training area , a production kitchen and a small retail shop. Nettie is responsible for 'all things chocolate' including regular workshops and group talks and Tammy designs and produces the branding, packaging and artwork.

 

Since then, the business has grown and they have won numerous awards including the coveted three star Great Taste awards in both 2020 and 2021, been mentioned in several magazines and books and their chocolate has been featured on ITV.
